The keto diet is basically cutting out all or nearly all the carbs from your diet so your body reaches a state of ketosis. This is where your body has to burn fat for energy in place of glucose. I have seen this diet produce amazing results. Someone I knew went on this diet, and the pounds just melted off her. I personally tried this diet and had little success. I believe that I did not cut enough carbs in my diet long enough for ketosis to kick in.
